Why heat treatment is needed for NiTi files?

Since the 1990s, the use of nickel-titanium (NiTi) alloy is introduced to endodontics dental instruments. In recent years, various improvements in geometry and material properties have been made including the application of heat treatment.

Heat treatment can be carried out in presence of air, inert gas, or a high vacuum environment. It improves the fatigue strength of NiTi dental files. 

We recommend using our tube furnaces for heat-treatment of NiTi dental files.
